Anderson\, PhD \nLive on Zoom! \nCarol Volow will explore the topic of finding peace and meaning at the end of life. Doulas provide companionship and support for clients\, and their families\, who have begun their end of life journey together. The doing of life is done while the meaning making and life review continue. This end of life period provides rich opportunities for self-realization\, acceptance and the possibility that love might triumph over fear\, presenting as integrity vs. despair. The role of a doula is one of an active and present listener above all else. \nCarol Seaholm-Volow\, MS.Ed. After retiring from her professional life of forty years in the fields of design\, and museum and public education\, her journey to find purpose and meaning brought her to the exploration of end of life service. This is work that integrates all that has come before.
