Persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorders can present a myriad of challenges in the consulting room. Each person has their own way of being in the world which needs to be met with compassion and clinical creativity. If you are interested in sharing your own clinical dilemmas treating ASD patients and also hearing from Dr. Anderson about a number of long-term and varied ASD cases, this clinical case consultation would be valuable for you. The small group supervision format offers attendees a taste of the post-graduate training experience at WCSPP.
Presenter – Wade Anderson, PhD
Wade Anderson — Currently on the Supervisory Faculty of WCSPP and Coordinator of the Dialogues In Clinical Moments series, Wade is in full-time private practice working with adults, children and families in Ardsley and Pleasantville, NY. Over his time in practice, he has successfully treated many people presenting with ASD. Wade is a 2012 graduate of the Westchester Center’s Psychoanalytic training program and a 2016 graduate of the Supervisory Training program. He is active in the psychoanalytic community creating discourse around education and treatment utilizing psychoanalytic, Buddhist and psychedelic frameworks. Formerly, Wade has held positions as: Clinic Director, MHA of Westchester in Mt. Kisco, Supervising Psychologist and program director at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Faculty, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons.
